The White House

The White House!

It appears that ex White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan decided to through President Bush under the bus.  He pretty much wrote in his book that the Iraq war was all based on lies.  Staffers of the White House find it hard to believe what McClellan has written about such things.  Press Secretary Dana Perino issued a statement -  “Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House,” no kidding.  It also appears that President Bush will not comment on this, and I don’t blame him.  My view is, “you may not like what Bush does, but you need to respect the President”.  Think about what the President goes through every day.  He has to make real hard decisions; do you think you can do it?  If so, go run to be President of the United States of America.

Stocks, Homes, Jobs And Gas

Stocks, Homes, Jobs And Gas!

Here we go again. Another day on the roller coaster, Stocks, Homes, Jobs and Gas. The stock market is up as is home sales for the month of April, Wow someone pinch me. Yes, gas prices are still sky high with no relief anytime soon. And jobs, what can I say, there are none. There is also no real sign of any growth around us all. So what we will do for another day is just hang on and ride the roller coaster again.

Mr. Lefty Phil Mickelson Wins

Mr. Lefty Phil Mickelson Wins!

On Sunday, the Final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial was one to remember. For a good part of the day Mickelson was behind. He stayed very cool and waited to make his move. His move came on the very last hole, where he almost blow it. His drive went in area total filled with trees. At this point he was in a three-way tie with Rod Pampling and Tim Clark. He had only one chance, hit the ball hard with a slice, and that’s what he did. This ball made it to the green with 9 feet to the hole. This shot will be played over and over again. It just might be the shot of the year. Mickelson finshed the last round 2-under with a 68. For the tournament he finish at 14-under with a 266. The last time Mickelson has won the Colonial was in 2000. This win, buts him at 11 tournaments won multiple times. I was really happy to see Phil win again!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day!

I would like to give you a little history on Memorial Day.  A lot of people didn’t know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day. General John Logan officially proclaimed Memorial Day on The 5th of May 1868.  The General was a national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic. Memorial Day was first observed on the 30th of May 1868.  The day was observed by placing flowers on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

We must never forget the people who have died for this great Country we call, United States Of America.  Also, remember that Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service.
