Tony Stewart At Coca-Cola 600

Tony Stewart At Coca-Cola 600!

Will this be Stewarts race?  I really think he has a chance to win the Coca-Cola 600 race on this Memorial Day weekend.  Anyway, I sure hope he does win.  If he takes this race, it will be his first win of this year.  His two other teammates, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have combined for four wins this year already.  So he’s due! With these three drivers all on the same team (JGR) they’re unstoppable.  Just wait, Stewart will win, and win soon enough.

Museum Of Collections

Museum Of Collections!

Here’s something for all my readers to read. If you don’t read on, you just might be missing out on something great. This post is about the Stark Museum of Art, which has a connection to The Stark Foundation. I have found this museum to be absolutely amazing. They have some of the greatest collections of 19th and 20th century in Western American art and artifacts in the country. I have never ever viewed anything like this online before. Their collection consists of Western Art, American Indian Art, Decorative Arts, Rare Books and Manuscripts. Here’s some quick information on there collections. The Western Art Collection covers over two centuries, which shows the artistic interpretation of the western region. I thought this collection ways awesome. Another great collection is the American Indian collection. This collection consists of objects created by members of the tribes of the Great Plains, Southwest, Eastern Woodlands and Northwest Coast. This looks to be a really cool looking collection. Make sure you take the time to check it out, because if you don’t, you will miss out on a lot. I could go on and on about this museum, but I just don’t have enough room in this post. What I read on their site was that the collections you view on the site isn’t all in the museum. It’s not because they don’t want to show you; it’s because there is just too much to list. Another reason is, they’re always adding more to the museums permanent collection. The only way to view the entire collection is to visit the Stark Museum of Art in the city of Orange, Texas. I encourage you to visit the Stark Museum of Art, to view for yourself their amazing permanent collection. If you do decide to go, make sure you check everything you possibly can. So go check the site out, and make it happen.

Need 10 Baseball Bats

Need 10 Baseball Bats!

I saw this story on the news this morning.  It seems that the Calgary Vipers of the Golden Baseball League traded John Odom up for 10 baseball bats, that’s funny.  Here’s the kicker, the player John Odom stated “I don’t really care, it’ll make a better story if I make it to the big leagues.”  He’s right, it sure would make for a great story.  Here’s another kicker.  This wasn’t the first time Calgary has ever come up with an off the wall trade.  They once tried to get another player for 1,500 seats for their stadium.  This just shows how hard it is for these players to get to the big show.

Swedish Defenseman Lidstrom

Swedish Defenseman Lidstrom!

Nicklas Lidstrom, what a true hockey player. He’s one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen play the game. If you don’t know who he is, he’s the Captain of the NHL Detroit Red Wings. If you never seen him play, make sure you watch him in the up coming Stanley Cup finals. Just a side note hear, if the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup he would be the first European captain to do so. He’s a 3-time champion who has won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2002. He’s also in the running to win for his 6th time the Norris Trophy. I said when he was a rookie he was going to do great things. Make sure you tone in Saturday night, the start of the Stanley Cup finals.
