No. 2 Pick NBA Draft!
It appears that Michael Beasley’s first practice with his new team, Miami Heat ended early. During practice drills he was hit in the chest by a flying elbow. Of course, this is big news when the number two pick gets a boo boo, yes, I said it, boo boo. It’s all about protecting the Miami Heats investment. I would be willing to bet that everyone in the front office of the Heat had a heart attack over this “event”. Someone gets a boo boo and it sends everyone into a panic. Our kids see this and think it’s ok to be a big baby about a boo boo. In the old days, all major sports player would get up and keep playing hard. There was no quick trips to the doc to have 100 test done just to tell us he got a boo boo. I’m so sick of sports players today; most of them are just about the money. No heart!
Bush Does Nothing!
Ok, I really think Mr. President Bush needs to get off his you know what and force OPEC to increase oil outage. He needs to understand what true Americans are going through right now. When the price of oil goes up our stocks go down. Everyone is losing money, if not in stocks, at the pumps and stores. Bush doesn’t care because he doesn’t pay for any of it himself. He needs to start shacking the heads of OPEC now, or everything we worked for is gone. It’s time for you to stand Mr. Bush and start acting like a real President of the United States of America.
Independence Day 2008!
Our day of Declaration of Independence is only 2 days away. Or is today our true day of Independence. I say this because a lot of people don’t know that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 2, 1776. The 2nd of July 1776 was when Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, which was signed only by 2 people, Charles Thompson and John Hancock. You also not might know this; John Hancock signed it as President. Then 2 days later Congress approved the revised version. Congress also ordered 200 copies to be printed and sent to the 13 colonies and all military officers of the States. Here’s another side note, New York did not even vote on it until July 9. And the fifty-six original signers of the Declaration of Independence weren’t completed until Thomas McKean signed his name in 1781. Also some of those who signed were not even in Congress at the time the Declaration was adopted. And some that voted for it in Congress never did get around to signing it. Did you also know that a man named Robert R. Livingston was one of the committee of five who help layout the Declaration of Independence? More amazing he voted for it; and he never signed it. I just wanted to give a little history on America’s birthday. There is so much history on the Declaration of Independence, and every American should know how our country started out. So take the time to learn a little more about our great country we call United States of America!
