The Big Slide

The Big Slide!

Today on Wall Street the Dow Jones industrials went down 733 points, which was the second-largest point loss ever. On Monday the Dow went straight up by 936 points, and now right back where we started. I really can’t take this roller coaster ride anymore, all this up and down. I read earlier that a lot of investors are stepping back from the stock market, because they’re convinced we’re in a recession. The main reason for the Dow Jones industrials had a big selloff today was because of last month’s retail sales report. I find it very hard to believe that they didn’t expect this report to be so bad. With people losing their jobs across the country things are only going to get worse. Hopefully the Fed can get this $250 billion plan to buy bank stock started soon. If there’s another bad report that comes out tomorrow the stocks around the world will drop. And if that happens we will have another huge selloff. If the Dow Jones industrial’s loses another 20% in market value, we will be in a recession.

Typing With No Hands

Typing With No Hands!

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 PreferredThis post was created using Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred from Nuance. And if you don’t believe it check the video out below. First I would like to say that I have had this software for about a week, and you will need to practice to get the hang of it, as I did. Now a little about Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred. This software will give you the power to create documents, reports and e-mails much faster than most of us can type. And if you know me personally, I can’t type fast at all. And did I mention that my spelling isn’t the greatest. And now that I’m using Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred I won’t need to worry about those embarrassing mistakes anymore. And this will also make my wife happy, because I won’t need to ask her how to spell a word anymore. And in case if you’re wondering if the software will work with Microsoft Word or Excel, it does. It also will work with Corel WordPerfect and most other Windows-based applications out there. Oh, and you can even surf the web with this software. I will end this video by saying that, I had a great time learning how to use Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred. And I would recommend it to anyone looking to free up your hands and type faster. Now it’s time for you to sit back and enjoy the video.

And don’t forget to check out the New York Times Review that was done on Dragon Naturally Speaking. And make sure you see for yourself how you stack up against Dragon. Take the Dragon NaturallySpeaking typing test! This test was a lot of fun, you will think so too.

Retail Sales

Retail Sales!

The Dow just can’t stay up, no mater what anyone does. Every single time a bad report comes out the Dow drops like a bad habit. So today the Commerce Department reported retail sales decreased 1.2 percent last month, which was nearly double the 0.7 percent drop that had been expected. Once this report came out there went the Dow. Come on, did everyone not see this report coming. I could have told you that no one is spending their money, I’m not. A recession is coming, and I mean fast. Our Governments around the world are trying really hard to stop it, but it won’t be in time. There’s just too much red tape to cut through to get things moving. Anyway, this retail report killed my 401k and will take a long time to come back. Someone needs to do something, and do it fast. We need to stop the bleeding and not with a Band-Aid.
