Sarah Palin President!
This might get a few of you going. If John McCain loses his bid for President what do you think about Sarah Palin for President in 2012? This question is being asked around the United States right now. And who knows, it could very well happen. Now there are a few out there that think she’s hurting McCain more than comparing him with Bush. Here’s what George Will, a prominent conservative columnist, stated “Palin has become an even heavier weight in John McCain’s saddle than is his association with George W. Bush.” That’s a pretty powerful statement if you ask me. And let’s not forget what the other Republicans are saying. A lot of the Republicans out there feel she’s dragging down the ticket. Anyway, Palin as already hinted at staying in on the national political scene. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens this coming week and till 2012.

I’m a conservative, but she needs to get out there and prove herself if she wants to win the nomination in 2012. Given some of the hopefuls of this past Primary who could run again, I would be more likely to vote for someone like Huckabee or Romney. Not because they are male, but because they seem to have more substance behind them.
I think Palin would made a good running mate. I think she would make a good VP. Right now I do not believe she is ready for the presidency. Just because she shares more of my values than any of the 4 running doesn’t mean that I think she could run the country well at this stage in her career.
I think McCain would have done much better with Romney or Huckabee on his ticket.
Palin’s stigma will be losing the election with (or for, depending on how you look at it) McCain. It is quite likely that her career has peaked, but I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong.
