A Tie

A Tie!

The football game between the Eagles and Bengals finally ended at 13 to 13, a tie. And the Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb had no idea this could happen. McNabb said, “I didn’t know that, I’ve never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rulebook. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie.” The only thing I have to say to McNabb is, how long have you’ve been the NFL? Of course a game can end in a tie, did you think that tie column is there for the fun of it? I didn’t see the game, but 5 quarters with a 13 to 13 score I think I would have feel asleep. Better yet I would have left the game if I were there. I read online that both teams played the game very poorly. Anyway the last time the NFL had a tie was Nov. 10, 2002, when the Falcons and Steelers finished 34-34, which was a much better played game. I wonder when the next tie will come, maybe in another 6 years, who knows? I got big kick out of this tie and just wanted to share it with a few of you.

Layaway Program For All

Layaway Program For All!

Christmas shopping is getting earlier and earlier every year for a lot of people. And I guess that’s because big retailers push it on to us earlier every year. Did any of you out there realize that before Halloween was even over there were Christmas items side by side with Halloween stuff? I sure did and it kind of bothered me a little. In my opinion this type of marketing makes a lot people feel like things are being pushed on them. Me personally I wait until after Thanksgiving before I start my shopping, taking one holiday at time. With that being said I haven’t started my shopping just yet. But with all the ranting I just did about shopping early I do feel that there are a few good ideas out, like the Kmart Layaway program. This program helps in more ways than a lot of people realize. One way is that big-ticket items become reachable, by letting you pay over time. And another way is that it reduces the debt of people using the service. That’s because they don’t have to carry debt on their credit cards, which cuts out any interest they would incur. So if you are an early shopper make sure you a least check out Kmart’s layaway program.
