Revive The Economy

Revive The Economy!

I was just poking around looking for some news and came across an article about how President-elect Barack Obama is going to fix our economy. He has a plan to create jobs through a public works plan. This plan is said to be bigger than the creation of the federal highway system in the 1950s. And the thing I liked the most was that if the state doesn’t use the federal dollars in a timely matter they will lose it. Most of these states have the federal funds for part of the project but don’t want to pay for the rest of the project. And then the money just sites there when it could go somewhere else. I think by him stated that “you use it or lose it” will create jobs. States can use the money to repair highways and bridges, which would create a lot of high paying jobs. The only thing I’m wondering is will this all come true. Right now this is something Obama really wants to do, but will there be money for it? I guess we’ll all see soon enough in a few weeks.
