No Deal!

Sun Microsystems Inc has rejected a buy out bid that was placed by the Big Blue, IBM. Talks between the two company’s have been on going for awhile now. It seemed that everything was all set to go through. Then IBM had started to lower their bid offer, which had once started out between $10 and $11 a share. Now IBM wants to pay around $9.40 a share, about $7 billion. This rejection will mean Sun will need to seek out another buyer very soon or they could go under. But I think IBM still wants their technology, so they may be back to the table soon. If the break up happens it won’t be could for either company or their shareholders. And most importantly, Sun’s employees.
