Changes At Hendrick Motorsports

Changes At Hendrick Motorsports!

One of the biggest change’s has been made to NASCAR’s most popular driver Earnhardt Jr. has been made. That change was the removal of Earnhardt’s life long crew chief, Tony Eury Jr. Rick Hendrick the owner of the team made the decision Thursday. What makes this so hard for Earnhardt is because their family. Me personally I think it’s the right move. Anytime you work with family it’s 10 times harder. Earnhardt Jr. hasn’t been doing well at all. And the man he replaced, Kyle Busch took a shot at Earnhardt Jr. He basically said that Earnhardt Jr. feels all his back luck is because of someone else. But from what I read, Earnhardt Jr. stated that he blames no one but himself. I think Busch is still a little upset about getting forced out of Hendrick Motorsports. But Busch shouldn’t feel that way anymore, he’s become one of the best drivers last year and this year. Busch is racing for Joe Gibbs Racing, which he was given a great team to work with. Anyway, I think Jr. will pull through this and maybe even one a few races before the years out, well see.

Only At SeaWorld

Only At SeaWorld!

One of the newest rides in theme park capital of the world is coming to SeaWorld Orlando, FL. The new ride was created to give you the feeling of riding on the underside of a stingray, one of the oceans most interesting animals. The ride is called, Manta “ride the flying ray.” You can see a small clip of the ride in action within this post, or by clicking on the link in this post. And while your visiting their site make sure you inter their contest to win a front of the line pass. There are a few steps to take, but worth it. Now here’s your warning, by watching this clip it will make you want to go to SeaWorld and ride this ride, that’s how I felt. It brought back memories for my last trip to SeaWorld with the family.

Anyway, this ride is a flying roller coaster, and not for everyone. Roller coasters don’t always sit well with me, but this one looks worth taking a chance on. I’ve never been on a roller coaster ride that has you face down through out the ride. So this just might be a very interesting thrill ride for a lot of you, for me anyway. I know that if we’re down Hope you all give it a shot if your in the area.

FAO Schwarz

FAO Schwarz!

What in the world happened to FAO Schwarz? I had no idea they filed for bankruptcy in 2002, and then again in 2003. Then I read today they where sold to Toys R Us Inc. I’m not sure how will Toys R Us will do with them, or if they even fit in with them. FAO Schwarz only has 2 locations, that I know of. One is their flagship store in NYC, and the other one is located in Las Vegas. They also run a catalog business, which up till today I thought they where doing very well. I guess their main customers, the rich folk aren’t buying their toys anymore. I once went to their store in NYC and saw race care their listed for over $25,000, a kids race car. Their toys are over priced only the rich shopped there. Now with Toys R Us taken them over maybe we’ll see prices come down to where everyone will be able to afford their crap.

Summers Here

Summers Here!

Right now is one of the best times to take a little break from everything and getaway. At this point going anywhere with my wife would be great. We’ve been staying close to home lately because of an up coming closing on our new home. We have a June 1st dead line to be closed by, but we’re not sure if we’re going to close by then. It has nothing to do with us or the sellers, it’s the bank. The banks are so over worked that things are falling behind. So my wife and I are getting pretty stressed at this point. So a weekend getaway is coming. If your stressed and over worked as well one place to consider is for us to consider is the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. And in the same area is the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. From what I read online these locations in Branson are loaded with things to do. I think my wife and I would visit the shops, boutiques, restaurants and take a nice river walk. I would also try to get to the new Payne Stewart Golf Club if there’s time. Anyway, this is just one choice, but a good choice, check them out if you live near them. You never know, it just might be the best weekend getaway you’ve had in a long time.
