Moving In

Moving In!

Just over the last year my family decided that we where going to move back to the area where most of our family’s are located. Since my wife and I both run our businesses from home it would be easy, so we thought. We very quickly remembered why we said we would never move again. We walked thought out our home and could not believe the amount of stuff we would have to move. We had more stuff setting in storage than we ever thought we did. At first I was very overwhelmed at what I was seeing. Then I thought, let just start boxing things up and moving it to the garage.

Then I thought, where in the world are we going to get the amount of boxes we’re going to need. My wife thought we would head to the local stores to get boxes. The problem with that was that boxes are broken down and tossed away. So I decided to look around for a place to purchase boxes from. I did come across a few, but their prices where way to high. So I decided to do the unthinkable, I went to local stores to pull boxes out of their dumpsters, yes, I went dumpster diving. I did get a lot of great boxes, and saved a lot of money, but I hated doing it. So to help you from doing that, you need to check out Moving Day Boxes. They offer Cheap Moving Boxes and supplies, if I had know about them when I was moving I would have considered using them. If your moving at lease check them out, they could save you a lot of time and money.

Repaying TARP

Repaying TARP!

It seems that Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are planning to repay the Federal Reserve the money they took in the bailout. The total amount comes to almost $20 billion. The problem with this is that they would be free to operate any which way they choose. They would be free to spend and hand out bonuses to top executives. We could end up right back in the same boat we where in a year ago if we send these companies off on their own again. I know it sounds bad what I’m saying, but we need the government to oversee these companies until we know this won’t happen again. Greed got us into this mess, we need to make sure that for the most part greed isn’t going to overcome these companies again. I do know that if I was invested with these companies I would sell ever stock I owe. I wouldn’t be able to trust these companies again. Anyway, they need to get approval to repay the TARP money, which they may or may not get, it’s a waiting game for them.

Creative Experiences

Creative Experiences!

I have a site that I have shared with all of you in the past, and now I’m going to share it with you again. The site is MEGA Brands, which offers some of the best creative experiences for kids and parents. Their site also offers some of the best and high quality toys I’ve come across. Plus they offer a few other products that your kids and yourself would love. The creativity and design of this site will keep you coming back, again and again.

The image in this post is an example of one of the toys being offered on their site. The toy is called Princess Enchanted Gardens, which is a Disney product. My little one loves to play with princess toy from Disney, and she loves to build things, a perfect match for her. She could play with this toy all day if I where to let her. If your looking for toys like the Princess Enchanted Gardens you should check their site out. And you never know, you just might find something for your little one that would enjoy for a long time. And while your there, check out their other stuff and creative activities.

Wal-Mart Pays

Wal-Mart Pays!

Today I was reading that Wal-Mart had agreed to pay nearly $2 million and improve safety in their 92 New York stores to avoid being prosecuted in the trampling death of a temporary worker during the Thanksgiving Day sale. The charges against Wal-Mart would have been criminal charges. From what I was reading if they would have been convicted of these charges they would have only had to pay a $10,000 fine. So why did they agree to pay almost $2 million in donations and crowed control procedures? I’ll tell you what I think, lawsuits, a criminal conviction would result to millions if they where found guilty of the negligence charges. If you ask me this is a bad idea by the county to make such an agreement with Wal-Mart. After all the county is receiving the bulk of the money, which isn’t right. It seems that the county was thinking of themselves, not the victims.

The man that was killed that day was Jdimytai (Jimmy-tree) Damour, a temporary employee for Wal-Mart. And their where a few others injured in the stampede of greed, that’s what I call it. I hope his family and the others injured sticks to their lawsuits against Wal-Mart, the county and others for what has happened to them. I also think that the people in that crowed should also be charged, after all Wal-Mart has video feeds on all their front doors. But mostly Wal-Mart should shoulder the blame and should have been charge for it. That’s my view on this!
