Cool Contest

Cool Contest!

Lately it seems that everyone, and every business out there is running a contest using Twitter. The reason for this is very obvious, Twitter is huge, and has a huge user base. I personally think doing a contest on Twitter is a great move for anyone, or business. So I say, “why not use them to get your business name out there”. Plus I like seeing these contests when they come across my account. I do understand that some don’t care for contests, but they’re missing out.

Here’s a great example of a contest running from a company called Netfirms, and worth checking out. Netfirms is a company that offers domain name registrations, hosting services, and a few other great services. They’re an accredited registrar for domain names, so you know you’re dealing with the right company. Now, Netfirms contest gives you the chance to win a new iPod Touch, or a Macbook. They’re giving away 4 of the iPod Touch and only one Macbook, so make sure you enter their contest soon. If you take the time to click on the link within this post it will take you to the rules, as well as how to enter the contests. So don’t waste anymore time and get over their now to claim your prize.

Sears In Trouble

Sears In Trouble!

When Sears reported a surprising high profit loss analyst started to believe Sears is done. There was even a report put out stating this, which set off Sears Holding Corp. Chairman Edward Lampert. Experts think Sears is done because of Lampert. Their saying that Lampert is a great businessman, as well as a great hedge fund manager, but not a great retail manager. I didn’t know this until today, but Sears is still working with an interim CEO, who has no retail skills. Some feel Lampert should have hired a retail CEO 5 years ago, but never did. I do know this, I will be watching to see what happens to Sears over the next few months, if not weeks. I also wonder what will happen with Kmart, will they fall with Sears, I don’t know.

Madden Sticking Around

Madden Sticking Around!

I just read that Hall of Fame coach John Madden will be staying involved in the NFL. This guy started out as a player, back when the league was just taking off, then coached, then became a well known broadcaster. He made his mark on the NFL when he was a head coach for the Raiders. Now his new roll is going to be a special adviser to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. This position will be a unpaid job for Madden. Madden wanted to basically stay involved with the NFL, so they found something for him to do. Roger Goodell said “it was an offer we couldn’t refuse”, when Madden suggested finding something to do for the NFL. Me personally I never liked the way he broadcasted a game. He would always talk down a team when they were losing. Then when they started to take the lead he would say how great they were, drove me nuts. There was times I would mute the TV when he was broadcasting a game. I do think it’s great he’s still involved with the NFL. The only thing I’m hoping for is that I don’t have to hear him talk.

Shocking TV Online

Shocking TV Online!

With the power of the Internet, and with the speed of cable connections, watching TV online is growing in popularity. It seems lately that if you do a simple search for “online TV” you can find a ton of online channels to check out. The problem I’m finding with most of my return searches is that there’s a charge to watch on these sites. But fear no more with these pay sites, and look no further, I have the perfect site for you, truTV. TruTV offers some of the best shocking TV shows you can find on the Internet today. I was watching a few of the shows and found myself calling my wife over to take a look at what I was watching. Their shows are so amazing and shocking you will be yelling at your computer screen, like I did. To see what I’m talking about, take the time to watch the clip in this post. The clip is about the World’s Wildest Vacation Videos. When the clip started I said “oh no”, then it happened, watch and see for yourself to see what I’m talking about. And what the narrator of the clip says at the end will make you laugh, it made me laugh out loud. Anyway, check the clip out, then head on over to TruTV for programming hours of upcoming shows.
