Are You Kidding!

I just found out that Johnny Depp was voted this years “Sexiest Man Alive.” That right, People’s magazine decided that Depp is the “Sexiest Man Alive.” He had won this so called award another time in 2003, making him a 2 time winner. The only other 2 time winners are Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Richard Gere. I personally can’t see the point why People magazine needs to do this. I would like to know who comes up with this kind of crap. You would think they could come up with something better than this. I also think People should dump this stupid thing. Mostly because People only consider people that are famous people, in the spot light. If they would give the choice to regular people to submit themselves then I’m all for it. Until they give everyone the chance this so called award means nothing. And on top of it, they select Depp, one of the weirdest people in Hollywood.

Super High Speed!

I have one simple question for all of you. Are you sick and tired of your high speed Internet provided? I am, but I have no choice in my area, only one provider. There’s not much I can do to show my dissatisfaction with then. The thing that bothers me the most about my high speed Internet provider is I can never get them on the phone. They only answer the phone or call back during regular business hours, when they advertise you can contact them 24X7. And their prices are regulated because their the only one’s in the area, but their pushing to increase those prices. I’m not going to say who they are, but their initials are TW. I would love to switch to another provider if I could.

Now I’ve done searching around for other high speed providers. The only other services even related to high speed is a DSL provider, which I’m not going to switch to. What I’m hoping for is someone like Charter Communications, Inc. Their a Fortune 500 company and the fourth-largest cable operator in the United States. So you can see why I would like them. They offer bundle packages at great low rates. They even offer the charter ultra fast 60 service, which is a super fast connection. With having a super fast connection I will be able to watch my movies and TV shows online without delays. Right now they only offer the Ultra60 Mbps service in two areas, St. Louis and Southern California, but I read their heading my way soon. I sure hope they bring their services to my area in New York, and kick TW out.

Investor Paul Allen!

Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy right now. This was reported by the Associated Press today. He’s currently undergoing chemotherapy, and he feels he can beat it. I also read that 20 plus years ago when he was Microsoft’s executive vice president of research and new product development he had beat another immune system cancer. One of his close friends, you might know him, co-founder of Microsoft Corp. Bill Gates said “Melinda and I have Paul and his family in our thoughts and prayers, I know him to be a strong and resilient individual.” Some people didn’t now this, but the two have been friends since high school. Allen is also a huge investor in companies just starting out, or looks to be a sound company. He’s invested in companies like America Online, DreamWorks Animation and cable operator Charter Communications Inc. He also owns a few professional sport teams, the football team Seattle Seahawks, basketball’s Portland Trailblazers, and a stake in the Seattle Sounders FC, a major league soccer team. He’s very well known in the Seattle area, for what he’s done in redeveloping the City, and of course the sport teams he owns. I read that he’s only 56 years old, I think he can fight this cancer, but it’s not going to be easy.
