Getting A New Phone!
Just a few months ago my wife and I went looking for new cell phones. Our contract was up, 2 years ago, we never renewed because they didn’t require it. We were with the same company for over 10 years. Anyway, we wanted new phones with better text and web access, but didn’t want to purchase a $600 phone. So in order to get free phones we would have to enter into another 2 year contract, which we weren’t ready to do again. So we decided to look at all the major cell phone providers, you know who they are, before we agreed to another contract. We even looked at Boost Mobile, and new provider in our area. Boost didn’t require a contract, which I liked, and they have an unlimited data access plan for $50 a month per phone. So I decided to include them in our search for the right provider for us. In short, we reviewed everyone in our area, compared plans, and made our choice. We ended up staying with our service provider, they made us some pretty good deals outside their plans. They made us a premium customer, gave us two $600.00 phones for free, and a good monthly plan. The only problem is the two year contract, I didn’t like that, I seriously considered Boost because of the no contract. So if you’re looking, check out Boost Mobile, their offering the new flip SANYO Incognito with a $50 monthly unlimited plan with nationwide coverage. I read that you can purchase the SANYO Incognito for $129.99 plus taxes with free shipping when purchased through the link in this post. I also read that this phone has some pretty cool features that might work for you.

Facebook Again!
Not to long ago, I think in Dec. 09 – Facebook has been requesting that you review thier new privacy terms, as well as a few other changes. But if you didn’t agree, or waited to long, you wern’t able to move onto your page until you completed the new update. With the new rules in place you we’re giving a little more tweaking of your privacy. I wonder if these changes we’re related to last weekends problems, not able to log on to your page. It seems that Facebook is always making funny changes, mostly not very good ones. Maybe their getting ready to take the comapany to the next level, becoming a public traded company. I really don’t know their plans, I don’t think anyone does. I do wish they would stop making so many changes, it’s driving me nuts.
Paying More For Internet!
Not to long ago a test done by Time Warner Cable Inc. went very well, according to them. The test was charging more to their customers that went over their limit of data traffic. This test was done in one market to make sure their system can charge the right rate and monitor customer usage. I was reading that if you where a customer paying $30 a month you had 5 gigabytes of transfer data. And if you went over that limit you would be charge $1 for every gigabyte over the 5. If you ask me the 5 gigabyte limit is way to low. I would burn through that amount in the first week. I would consider switching to a new ISP if this comes to my area. Time Warner Cable is taking advantage of hard working people, this is wrong. Since they think everything went so well they have choose to role this out to 4 more major U.S. markets. And if your wondering if other ISP are doing the same thing, that would be a yes. But no where’s near the lows of transfer data that Time Warner Cable is giving. The other ISP’s are offering limits starting at 60 gigabyte all the way up to 250 gigabytes. So you can see why I think Time Warner Cable is taken advantage of people. If they try this with me I will leave them and switch to DLS or find another Cable provider. However, with all that being said, not all ISP’s are going to be doing this, so this just might keep the other ISP’s in check.
Good Times!
Tonight I feel like a change is in order. Lately I’ve written a lot about what’s been happening in our economy. And you know what, it’s kind of bringing me down. So I have deceided to start planning our next vacation to Disney. This should help me look forward to something besides the everyday crap that happens. Planning a vacation always makes things a little better, for us anyway. I think this year we’re going to try to sneak in a few extra days, wasn’t ready to leave last year after 7 days. This year I think we’re going to try to take 9 full days, should be fun.
