Not to long ago a test done by Time Warner Cable Inc. went very well, according to them. The test was charging more to their customers that went over their limit of data traffic. This test was done in one market to make sure their system can charge the right rate and monitor customer usage. I was reading that if you where a customer paying $30 a month you had 5 gigabytes of transfer data. And if you went over that limit you would be charge $1 for every gigabyte over the 5. If you ask me the 5 gigabyte limit is way to low. I would burn through that amount in the first week. I would consider switching to a new ISP if this comes to my area. Time Warner Cable is taking advantage of hard working people, this is wrong. Since they think everything went so well they have choose to role this out to 4 more major U.S. markets. And if your wondering if other ISP are doing the same thing, that would be a yes. But no where’s near the lows of transfer data that Time Warner Cable is giving. The other ISP’s are offering limits starting at 60 gigabyte all the way up to 250 gigabytes. So you can see why I think Time Warner Cable is taken advantage of people. If they try this with me I will leave them and switch to DLS or find another Cable provider. However, with all that being said, not all ISP’s are going to be doing this, so this just might keep the other ISP’s in check.

A few in President Barack Obama’s cabinet need to be fired. He needs to start with everyone in charge of protecting us from terrorists. But I have yet to hear that one person was released from their job. What is Obama waiting for, is he waiting till the terrorists kill thousands of Americans again? Obama is making a huge mistake by leaving the people in charge in place. I’m starting to question if American made the right choice. You know, just a few months ago Obama was passing the blame of all of our problems on President Bush, I think he needs to start taking blame now. I also ask myself, has Obama made any changes to our great Nation, I don’t think so. The economy is still in the toilet, and jobs are still in a free fall. And now I read that his Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told AIG not to report were the bailout money is going, or were it went. This is the same man, Timothy Geithner, that got caught not paying taxes on some of his income. Remember, he came out and said sorry, then paid off his taxes. I said it a long time ago, he needs to go, he’s ask a company to hide information, a public company, he’s a robber. He was one of the main people that stepped in and pushed hard to bailout AIG, mostly because I think he had money tied up with them, or affiliates. I can’t confirm that, but that’s how I feel. Anyway, Obama is losing ground with the American people, he needs to fire a few in his cabinet. And Obama needs to remember that he works for us, the American people, and he better start doing his job if he wants it for a 2nd term.

I have a few questions for all of you. Are your fed up with your hosting provider? Does your site have a lot of down time? And do you feel that your hosting provider could deliver much better customer service? If you answered yes to any of these questions you need to seek out another provider, fast.

If you’re business website constantly goes down it will cost you money, and customers. If you’re a site owner, business or personal, you know how hard it is to find reliable web hosting, which is very critical to your business. As most of you know, when your site goes down you just want to pull your hair out. You purchase a plan, your promissed up site time, then out it goes, drives me nuts. So do what I did, research, research, and research your next provider. Call them, talk to someone on the phone. Most of these providers don’t offer toll free numbers, but that’s not a big problem. They just want to reduce the calls for low level questions. To avoid phone charges, call from your cell phone. I know I’m running on here, but I can’t stess enough, call your provider, and research them. Good luck on your searches.

The economy has sunk many businesses, and the one’s still standing are struggling. Burger King is one of those businesses looking to draw people in with low prices, $1 menu items. So Burger King decided to expand their $1 menu by adding the double cheeseburger to it. So now the franchisees of Burger King have filed a lawsuit against them because they didn’t want the double cheeseburger on that menu. They say their losing money on the double cheeseburger promotion. They said their losing about .10 cents on every burger. With the economy not looking any better every dime counts. Burger King stands by their decision, and their well within their agreements with franchise owners rights. I say, if this promotion drives in customers it’s will worth it. If some comes in and buys a few burgers and a large drink their going to make a huge profit. Did you all know that it cost like .10 cents to make and sell every large drink. So they lose .20 cents on the burgers, but make well over a buck in the soft drink. They just need to suck it up, and focus on the up sales when the people come in.

The former Chief Executive Maurice “Hank” Greenberg of AIG has agreed to pay $15 million to settle a government allegations that he fixed the numbers. He was being accused for the years 2000 – 2005 for inflating AIG’s earnings. He was AIG’s CEO for over 38 years. He was terminated because he refused to cooperate with an internal investigation into his accounting practices. I should also say that his CFO has also settled with the SEC for $1.5 million. I sure hope that AIG goes after them if they received any bonuses based on these false numbers. And share holders should go after them as well. What the SEC should have done was toss both in jail for 20 years. There are more of these crocks out there, hopefully someday we’ll get them all.

I was just reading that the U.S. House of Reps. is looking to provide an extra 13 weeks of extended unemployment benefits. These 13 weeks are going to be on top of the federally funded extensions of up to 53 weeks. From my understanding, states pay the first 26 weeks, then the government picks up the extra weeks that Congress approved in legislation last year. Now I understand families out there are really feeling the bad economy, but come on, where is all this money going to come from? Then when the extra weeks are up, and these people still haven’t found a job then what, give another 13 weeks? Now this new bill is only for states with a high unemployment rate of 8.5% or higher, so every state won’t be included, yet. I think the government is taking the motivation out of people to get out and look for a job. I read that the recession is showing signs of coming to an end, so we don’t really need this bill, but it will pass, no one in the House or Senate will vote it down. Hopefully this recession will end very soon and we all can get back to living the normal life again. And most important, hopefully we’ve all learned something from this recession.

General Motors Corp. has built a car, the Chevrolet Volt that can go 230 miles per gallon. Why haven’t they released this car awhile ago? The Volt is a rechargeable electric car, just like the Toyota Prius. The Prius, goes about 40 miles per gallon, which is on the market right now, we’ll have to wait for the Volt. The Volt still has to be tested by the EPA to confirm GM’s claim of 230 miles per gallon. When the Volt makes it to market it will cost about $40,000, anyway that’s what I read. It just might be worth paying that much, think how much you would save on gas and taxes. Me personally, I’ll wait for the cheaper ones to come. But if you have the money to spend on a car at this price you should get one. This car just might be the car that pulls GM out of the mess their in.

Problems With BOA!

It seems that House lawmakers are getting a little sick and tired of deals being made by the federal government. And the main deal that their sick over is the deal that was forced onto Bank of America Corp. Bank of America was forced to sick to the deal to purchase Merrill Lynch, even though Merrill was losing billions. And on top of BOA being forced to buying Merrill, it cost us, taxpayers almost $20 billions to offset the lose that BOA took on.

Now Bank of America CEO Kenneth Lewis has testified that the U.S federal government threatened to remove management if the deal failed. The House lawmakers are looking into why former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke forced Lewis. My guess to why they forced him was to save their own money. Lets not forget that Paulson was CEO of Goldman Sachs, which was in just as much trouble as Merrill was. So you can see that he knew a lot of people on Wall Street. I truly hope if there was something fishy going on that they all get caught and spend a little time in jail. The U.S government has played with our money long enough.

Chrysler Deal On Hold!

Just before the deadline of 4 PM today Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg put the sale of Chrysler to Italy’s Fiat on hold. The case brought against the deal are from a group of major secure bond holders of Chrysler. Right now bond holders are set to get about $.30 on the dollar. The order came done right before the deadline stating that the sale is “stayed pending further order.” What this means isn’t clear, nor is the time frame, but seems to be a temporary hold. Now Chrysler LLC is getting nervous, as well as the U.S government. Mainly because the Fiat Group SpA can drop out of the deal come June 15th. If the deal fails Chrysler might will have no choice but to liquidate. Me personally I don’t think they would liquidate their assets. I think they could get a better deal, and these bond holders feel the same way. I guess Obama will need to rethink the way he has been treating these bond holders. Remember Obama was the one who blamed the bond holders for the bankruptcy filling, maybe he should luck at himself for pushing the bond holders around. I think the bond holders will win this one, anyway I hope.
