Fall Weekend Away!

Looking for a place or an area to visit this coming fall? If so I have an idea for you, how does Branson, Missouri sound? This place is loaded with entertainment and other things to do and see. And there’s two great places to stay, the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. These two hotels are located right in the heart of shops, boutiques, restaurants, museums, theme parks and a river walk. Theirs even a huge golf course located near by, the Payne Stewart Golf Club, which is right on the Hilton property. I also read that the Hilton is offering a couple deals, one is the Fall in the City Package, and the other is the Shopping Package. I would recommend visiting the site to see what your deal will be for these two deals. And let me tell you something, there’s a lot of places for shopping.

Again, there’s always something going on in Branson, Missouri. If I ever get the chance I think I’m going to head to Branson. I would for the most part hit the golf club during the day, visit a museum and then find a location for a nice dinner. Then I would top the day off at a near by theater. They really have so much to offer I would consider a week long vacation there. So go ahead and click on the links within this post to see if they have a deal for you.

Fueling Up!

If any of you are anything like me you’re always on the hunt for a good burger. There’s not to many places around us were I can find a burger worth noting. When we lived in the Rochester, NY area a few years back there was a few places I would recommend, and not those chain stores.

One place I would consider getting a burger is at the ampm convenience stores. These guys are more than just a place to fuel up your car, you can fuel up yourself with just about anything you can think of. They have just about everything you want and need to be satisfied, and even satisfied everyone traveling with you. They have sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and treats for everyone, and of course fountain drinks. And lets not forget the coffee, every pit stop needs a good cup of coffee to fill you up. The ampm really isn’t like those other convenience stores, or food chains. You get hot foods prepared on-site, and a fully stocked condiment bar to make your food your way. Anyway, check out my picture of a burger, just the way I like it. If you have an ampm in your area you know what I’m talking about. Next time you visit them take a picture of your burger and post it on their face book page, just click on the secret menu tab on their Facebook page. You know what, just click on over to their Facebook page and see what others are posting, might make you rush out and get one, so be warned.

What in the world happened to FAO Schwarz? I had no idea they filed for bankruptcy in 2002, and then again in 2003. Then I read that not to long ago they were sold to Toys R Us Inc. I’m not sure how will Toys R Us will do with them, or if they even fit in with them. FAO Schwarz only has 2 locations, that I know of. One is their flagship store in NYC, and the other one is located in Las Vegas. They also run a catalog business, which up till today I thought they where doing very well. I guess their main customers, the rich folk aren’t buying their toys anymore. I once went to their store in NYC and saw race care their listed for over $25,000, a kids race car. Their toys are over priced, only the rich shopped there. Now with Toys R Us taken them over maybe we’ll see prices come down to where everyone will be able to afford that crap.

Movie Fun At Home!

Are you tired of paying those huge movie ticket prices, I am? Just to take a family of four out to the movies could cost well over $100 dollars. In today’s economy who has that much money to waste at the movies. So with that being said I would recommend to every parent out there to want until the movie you want to see comes out on DVD or Blu-ray, that’s what we do. One new movie that just came out that your kids will love is Alvin and the Chipmunks – The Squeakquel, which you could buy it now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. I read that you can get it in a double DVD Pack that includes “The Squeak Along,” a bonus disc, which as more music, mayhem and all-new sing-alongs. You can also visit their site where you can do More Munk Mayhem. I should say that when visiting their site make sure you have your volume turned down, that’s all I’m saying about that, I did like it. So you see what I’m saying, wait until these movies come up on DVD and Blu-ray, they offer so much more for your money. And don’t forget, you’re home, so make a night out of it, way more fun for everyone, and less stress.

Tonight I feel like a change is in order. Lately I’ve written a lot about what’s been happening in our economy. And you know what, it’s kind of bringing me down. So I have deceided to start planning our next vacation to Disney. This should help me look forward to something besides the everyday crap that happens. Planning a vacation always makes things a little better, for us anyway. I think this year we’re going to try to sneak in a few extra days, wasn’t ready to leave last year after 7 days. This year I think we’re going to try to take 9 full days, should be fun.

With the power of the Internet, and with the speed of cable connections, watching TV online is growing in popularity. It seems lately that if you do a simple search for “online TV” you can find a ton of online channels to check out. The problem I’m finding with most of my return searches is that there’s a charge to watch on these sites. But fear no more with these pay sites, and look no further, I have the perfect site for you, truTV. TruTV offers some of the best shocking TV shows you can find on the Internet today. I was watching a few of the shows and found myself calling my wife over to take a look at what I was watching. Their shows are so amazing and shocking you will be yelling at your computer screen, like I did. To see what I’m talking about, take the time to watch the clip in this post. The clip is about the World’s Wildest Vacation Videos. When the clip started I said “oh no”, then it happened, watch and see for yourself to see what I’m talking about. And what the narrator of the clip says at the end will make you laugh, it made me laugh out loud. Anyway, check the clip out, then head on over to TruTV for programming hours of upcoming shows.

I’ve talked about truTV a few times now on this blog. If you missed my past posting on TruTV’s site make sure you read this one. I absolutely love visiting TruTV’s site, they have amazing reality shows. Shows like the World’s Wildest Vacation Videos. Check out the video before to see what I mean. This video had me laughing out loud, which I normally don’t do. If you take a minute to watch the video clip I think you will think it’s funny as well. This show is just a snap shot to watch you can get from TruTV. They have a few other show’s I watch as well. I get a big kick out of their shows. And what keeps bring back to their site is that all the shows are reality, which for the most part there is no script. So you really never know what your going to get, that’s what I like. If you do decide to check the site out make sure you check out their new show “Bait Car”. The video clip they have had me laughing pretty hard. I think you’ll laugh pretty hard too. I haven’t seen the show yet, but it’s on every Monday at 8PM, I’ll be watching come Monday.

I’ve talked about the truTV effect before, I just can’t get enough of the site TruTV. This TV site is amazing, and loaded with reality TV shows. If you visit their site you can see what their schedule of shows, and what up coming shows will be on.

How many of you yell at the TV when you see, or about to see someone doing something stupid. I’m that way, so don’t think your alone. I’m also that guy that’s ask whoever’s in the room with me if they just saw that, even though their watching the same show. I know they saw it, I just can’t hold back, just how I am. Make sure no one is around you when watching the show, because your going to be rolling on the floor.

Watching reality TV shows has become much easier to do. I found a site that offers these type of shows, right online. If you’re reading this post, you can watch shows online like truTV’s Black Gold . Black Gold takes place in the oil fields of West Texas. These guys in the show are some of the toughest guys you will ever watch on TV. In the show, they need to drill four holes, looking for oil in 50 days, which some think can never be done. If you’re thinking, is Black Gold worth watching, you should know that this show was created by the same guy who did Ice Road Truckers, which is a cool show.

I’ve added two video clips of the show Black Gold, watch them, you’ll get a kick out of them. In the clips you’ll see a guy getting on the job training, that’s stating it lightly. I sure would hate to get the on the job training that guy was getting. And on top of that, could you image getting an employee review from the boss. I would be willing to bet that every word out of the bosses month would start will the letter “F”. Anyway, this show is real life in the oil fields of Texas. I personally like watching real life TV shows. If you do as well make sure you check out Black Gold, which premieres tonight, August 19th at 10p/9c.
