As most of you know, unless you’ve been living in the closet, Colorado’s “balloon boy” parents are in trouble. I’m not going to name any names in this post, because then they win again. The parents of “balloon boy” had their home searched over this weekend. It’s starting to look like they planned all this out, you know, their flying saucer balloon. From what I read, they called the media, national guard, then 911. If I had a balloon that got away from me with my child in it the first people I would call is 911. Any normal person would call 911 first. It’s clear, they did this to get national attention. Their stunt could have seriously hurt someone, or even killed someone. If the police knew that their flying saucer-like helium balloon was empty the would have shot it down a long time ago. This thing could have crashed into an area causing people to get hurt. By the parents stating that their boy was onboard they knew they wouldn’t shoot it down. What they did is one of the worst things you can do. They caused panic, their just lucky no one got hurt because of their hoax.

I already posted today about President Bush visiting Iraq. Well here’s an update on his visit. A correspondent for Al-Baghdadia television, an Iraqi-owned station took off his shoes and threw them at President Bush. Click Here to see the moves Bush did to get out of the way. Both shoes did miss him as the Secret Service jumped all over this guy. The thing that surprised me the most was how this guy was able to get both shoes off in time to throw them both. The Secret Service should have acted faster in my opinion. Bush may be leaving office in month, and he may not be the most popular President, but he’s still our President, and no one should disrespect the United States like that. Bush did joke afterward, but things could have been a lot worst if he had a gun. I wonder what’s going to happen to this guy when it’s all said and done. This also doesn’t look good for Iraq, and I would bet that there going to come down on him pretty hard.

President Bush made a surprise farewell visit today. And it wasn’t to local store or anything remotely close to the White House; it was Baghdad, Iraq. He’s visiting the U.S. Troops and to celebrate the recent U.S.-Iraq security agreement, which will have most of our troops home by the end of 2011. I was just wondering if President Bush was going to head back to Iraq. I’m glad that he choose to head back to see our troops and to give them a well deserve pat on the back. I think he would have looked pretty bad if he never went back to see the troops. This is one of his better choices in a long time.

Ok, I’m official and total mad at people mis-managing publicly traded companies. And on top of that, the U.S. government needs to make you’re there over seeing them in a much better way. I mean come on here, how can two of the biggest players (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) in the mortgage business be in so much trouble. And as always, when stocks drop oil climbs to record highs. The Dow Jones industrials fell more than 250 points, which dropped it below 11,000 for the first time in two years. I honestly never thought that the Dow would trade below 11,000 ever again, but I was wrong. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson stated, “the government’s focus is ensuring that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac keep operating in their current form”. Which he was countering reports from some that the government would announce plans to take over both of the companies. I really can’t trust our government to maintain any order. The only time they ever open their mouth crap comes out. They need to just watch what is going on around them. Because their mistakes are costing all American’s their life savings.

It appears that ex White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan decided to through President Bush under the bus. He pretty much wrote in his book that the Iraq war was all based on lies. Staffers of the White House find it hard to believe what McClellan has written about such things. Press Secretary Dana Perino issued a statement - “Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House,” no kidding. It also appears that President Bush will not comment on this, and I don’t blame him. My view is, “you may not like what Bush does, but you need to respect the President”. Think about what the President goes through every day. He has to make real hard decisions; do you think you can do it? If so, go run to be President of the United States of America.

Kennedy had suffered from a seizure. Now the doctors are reporting that he has a cancerous brain tumor. The tests that were ran on the Senator after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy’s left parietal lobe. The course of treatment hasn’t been determent yet. The doctors are still running tests. I’ll do my best to keep everyone up to date.
