Searching For Results!

Are you tierd of your same old search engine you’ve been using? Or not finding up to date information? I know that I am, and that’s why I use a newer search engine called leapfish. These guy pull up dated information from other search engines and social media outlets, which means I can do all my searches in one place. No more jumping back and forth between Google and Yahoo for information I’m looking for. By using their real time search tool I get just about everything I want from my search. And that’s why I made the switch to using one search engine’s search tool.

What I also like, well, really like, is that I can get information from others that are going through what I’m searching for right now. What I mean is that I can search for something, then click on their real time search and I will get information results in real time, and I will get search results from site’s like, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and Digg. I can also look at images of what I’m searching for, it’s all pretty neat. There are other cool features and things you can do on their site, just watch the video to get a better understanding of their search tools.

I have read a few articles online about how eBay Auctions are losing a lot of their big power sellers. This is because the bidding wars between consumers are no longer there. It seems that consumers are looking for that fixed price item. I do know that eBay does offer sales of fixed price items too. So, I wonder if this will be the road eBay and other online auction houses will be going down. I personally like the fixed price items verses trying to bid on some over price items. Maybe the trend is changing because big power sellers have taken advantage of too many people. Now it’s our turn to pay what it’s really worth. Not sure if this will do eBay in, but their profits are hurting. Their going to need to make some cuts if their going to remain profitable.

It seems that there are a few changes coming about within the Bills. And here’s the surprise, Terrell Owens is getting cut, not really a surprise is it, or is it. He did manage to stay out of trouble for a year, so why cut him? I think the Bills are doing this because T.O. gets in trouble during season 2 with his new team. Now this hasn’t been verified yet, but insiders at the Bills camp say it’s coming. T.O. is a huge problem for any team, and the likelihood of him being picked up by another team is slim, but the Ravens have been asking questions. As good as T.O. is, his career just might be over if he does get cut. And I really don’t think any other team will pick him up, been wrong about that before thought. If he wasn’t always such a trouble maker he could have been one of the best whoever played the game, it’s a shame.

Getting A New Phone!

Just a few months ago my wife and I went looking for new cell phones. Our contract was up, 2 years ago, we never renewed because they didn’t require it. We were with the same company for over 10 years. Anyway, we wanted new phones with better text and web access, but didn’t want to purchase a $600 phone. So in order to get free phones we would have to enter into another 2 year contract, which we weren’t ready to do again. So we decided to look at all the major cell phone providers, you know who they are, before we agreed to another contract. We even looked at Boost Mobile, and new provider in our area. Boost didn’t require a contract, which I liked, and they have an unlimited data access plan for $50 a month per phone. So I decided to include them in our search for the right provider for us. In short, we reviewed everyone in our area, compared plans, and made our choice. We ended up staying with our service provider, they made us some pretty good deals outside their plans. They made us a premium customer, gave us two $600.00 phones for free, and a good monthly plan. The only problem is the two year contract, I didn’t like that, I seriously considered Boost because of the no contract. So if you’re looking, check out Boost Mobile, their offering the new flip SANYO Incognito with a $50 monthly unlimited plan with nationwide coverage. I read that you can purchase the SANYO Incognito for $129.99 plus taxes with free shipping when purchased through the link in this post. I also read that this phone has some pretty cool features that might work for you.
But if you didn’t agree, or waited to long, you wern’t able to move onto your page until you completed the new update. With the new rules in place you we’re giving a little more tweaking of your privacy. I wonder if these changes we’re related to last weekends problems, not able to log on to your page. It seems that Facebook is always making funny changes, mostly not very good ones. Maybe their getting ready to take the comapany to the next level, becoming a public traded company. I really don’t know their plans, I don’t think anyone does. I do wish they would stop making so many changes, it’s driving me nuts.

Paying More For Internet!

Not to long ago a test done by Time Warner Cable Inc. went very well, according to them. The test was charging more to their customers that went over their limit of data traffic. This test was done in one market to make sure their system can charge the right rate and monitor customer usage. I was reading that if you where a customer paying $30 a month you had 5 gigabytes of transfer data. And if you went over that limit you would be charge $1 for every gigabyte over the 5. If you ask me the 5 gigabyte limit is way to low. I would burn through that amount in the first week. I would consider switching to a new ISP if this comes to my area. Time Warner Cable is taking advantage of hard working people, this is wrong. Since they think everything went so well they have choose to role this out to 4 more major U.S. markets. And if your wondering if other ISP are doing the same thing, that would be a yes. But no where’s near the lows of transfer data that Time Warner Cable is giving. The other ISP’s are offering limits starting at 60 gigabyte all the way up to 250 gigabytes. So you can see why I think Time Warner Cable is taken advantage of people. If they try this with me I will leave them and switch to DLS or find another Cable provider. However, with all that being said, not all ISP’s are going to be doing this, so this just might keep the other ISP’s in check.

Tonight I feel like a change is in order. Lately I’ve written a lot about what’s been happening in our economy. And you know what, it’s kind of bringing me down. So I have deceided to start planning our next vacation to Disney. This should help me look forward to something besides the everyday crap that happens. Planning a vacation always makes things a little better, for us anyway. I think this year we’re going to try to sneak in a few extra days, wasn’t ready to leave last year after 7 days. This year I think we’re going to try to take 9 full days, should be fun.

It seems that Honda Motor Co. has a few problems of their own. Honda has decided to expand an existing recall with water shortening out power windows. I heard this recall is going to affect almost 1 million of their Honda Fit’s worldwide. The model year are for 2007-2008. In my option, I would rather deal with this type of problem rather than the Toyota problem. Who wants to drive a car that you can’t stop. It’s either the gas pedal sticks, or your brakes won’t work, I don’t know what’s worst. Honda seems to be handling this a lot better than Toyota is. Toyota knew about their problems and never did anything about it. Now their trying to save face with running TV ads stating their going to regain our trust, not me. I don’t think I will ever buy a Toyota. And I think a lot of other people feel the same, even their customers for years.

Tech Giveaway from Tony’s!

A few weeks ago I was sent a few coupons to try out Tony’s Pizza Crispy Crust. Since this was a new pizza pie it took me awhile to find one. So my wife went to one of those big box stores and purchased 3 different kinds, cheese, pepperoni and supreme. This new Crispy Crust is said to be baked, not fried, which means it’s much better for you. It’s also labeled to have zero grams of trans fat, which is much healthier for everyone.

Okay, it’s healthier, there’s variety, but you really want to know how did they taste? Well, there not that bad, pretty good, I was surprised. I usually don’t purchase pre package pizza’s. I earthier order out, or make my own at home, which everyone tells me I make a great pizza. Anyway, I tried all 3 pizza pies, and the only thing I was disappointed about was the cheese, there wasn’t that much at all, which I expected. Adding a little extra cheese isn’t a big deal for me. If you do decide to purchase Tony’s Pizza, or any other pre package pizza pies you’re going to need to add extra cheese, there are the same.

Last – Tony’s Pizza is also running a contest were you can win a Tech Prize Pack valued at $500. There are a few bloggers that have posted about this contest, click here to locate the rules and were to enter, good luck.

Losing Friends!

President Barack Obama once again slammed Las Vegas, NV. I’m not sure of what he actually said, but it was along the lines that people should start saving their money for college, and not to blow it in Las Vegas. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, which is one of the Reps. From NV wasn’t happy about it. Reid did say that Obama did send a letter that he wasn’t saying anything negative about Las Vegas. In the letter Obama did say that “I was making the simple point that families use vacation dollars, not college tuition money, to have fun.” Obama went on to say that he enjoys himself anytime he visits Vegas. Obama needs to stick to the script that is written for him, and stop thinking for himself. He’s just like any other President, once they try to leave script they say what’s on their mind, which gets them in trouble. Remember when Obama made that comment on the Jay Leno show about the Special Olympics, that got him in trouble. Hopefully he’ll learn from this one and stick to what’s written for him.
