Free Domain Hosting

Free Domain Hosting!

One of the most asked questions I receive is – Is getting free hosting really a good deal?  We’ll, I really don’t know, I’ll leave it up to you (readers) to answer that after you read what I have to say.  Ok, if you like having those annoying banners or pop-ups on your site?  Or if you found a free hosting provider that doesn’t have the banners or pop-ups but has given you next to nothing in space and bandwidth.  Which if you use up all your space your site stands the chance of going out.  Now, on the other hand you can purchase a hosting account from some really good providers out there.  I have found some hosting providers that charge between $1.99 to $8.99 a month for services.  All of these provider offer different packages you would need to research.  Remember, your website is yours, take control on how you want it to be viewed by the rest of the world.  If you don’t really care about the banners or pop-ups, go with the free hosting.  If you hate the banners and pop-ups and you think your viewers will as well, purchase yourself a good hosting account.  That’s all I have to say on this subject!

MySpace Going Down

MySpace Going Down!

MySpace stated that they will be cutting more of its work force. Their claim is because they want to get more inline with Facebook. I read Facebook employs a little over 800 people, MySpace now will employ about 1,000 employees. This reduction will cut a few hundred more people to lose their jobs. And on top of the layoffs, Facebook is leaving MySpace with U.S. users. I read that both now have a few hundred million users each. MySpace is falling while Facebook is growing. Facebook is a much cleaner and user friendly system. Facebook doesn’t allow all that crap that MySpace does. This is the reason why I think MySpace is getting hurt, all the junk they allow on their site.

eBay Hurting

eBay Hurting!

It seems that eBay is still struggling in this recession. Their 2nd quarter earning is down about 5 percent, but ahead of what analysts where looking for. They, eBay reported $2.1 billion, which is better than losing money if you ask me. I can also say that I personally have seen a drop with using eBay. My sales have dropped on eBay by a lot. I was getting a few sales a week, now I’m lucky if I get a few questions a week. I even started to search the net to find other sites to sell on. The problem I’m having is that I can’t find anywhere else to sell at, and that stinks. I think the problem with eBay isn’t the recession, it’s the way they revamp their system, and prices. If you’re a seller on eBay you know what I’m talking about. What I would like to see eBay do is go back to the way they where, and maybe sales for them will go back up. I sure would use them more often.
